For instance bad looking ****** at a club might not necessarily be receptive to a smooth talker since theyll despise him. Saying that you have to go, right off, turns the conversation awkward. The woman has no reason to invest more time into you, as you will go in a second.

This is a somewhat good point. However, if the guy is confident and/or skillful enough then girls that are not used to getting approach will still be drawn into talking to the guy.
Hotter girls will be more confident, so more relaxed, but they can more easily turn down your offer.
Women not used to being approached can be more intrigued and interested in what the guy has to say, therefore it can workout a bit better on average.
